I tend not to follow any “plan” when deciding what to build, but my stash is big enough that something stands out every now and again, and such was the case with this kit.  I set myself a challenge when building it – NO modifications or aftermarket parts!  My idea was to build what might in the real world be classed as a “stage 1” modified car- these would typically have uprated suspension, some bolt-on engine parts and a custom interior and exterior paint finish, but without any more substantial modifications.

The interior was a mixture of various shades of black, and the seat, door and dash inserts were created by spraying light coats of clear red over a silver base.

The wheels were painted matt black and then dipped carefully into silver and then clear red paint to create the red rings.

Once the paint had hardened, I spent a substantial amount of time polishing until the finish was smooth, at which time the matt black windows surrounds etc were added.

All in all I’m very happy with this model, although there are a number of areas where it could have been better.
