Hello fellow modelers! One of my biggest loves is motorcycles. I have built a lot of motorcycle scale models in the past, although I am stuck with airplanes for a couple of years now. I didn't have the knowledge about scale modeling that I have now, but certain motorcycle models came out well and one of them I think is the Yamahas I have done from Aoshima. It is a good model and it may not come from Tamiya but the quality and detail  is familiar.

The first V-max came out in 1986 (if I remember correct) and it shook the motorcycle world with its hot-rod style and performance.  The USA version had the V-boost system in the carburators. This was a system that allowed the four carburators to feed fuel in the cylinders above 4000 rpm, while up to 4000 rpm two carburators were feeding fuel. This was giving a strong "punch" while the bike was accelerating above 4000 rpm. admired by some, hated by others, as the bike was not famous for its handling.  I like to customize my bike models and so I did with them in a hot-rod fashion!

Here are some photos of the bikes.  I used Tamiya acrylic colors and Vallejo Model Air for aluminium and chrome silver.  The effect on the "orange" bike was achieved by spraying transparent orange and blue (Tamiya) over aluminium (Vallejo Model Air).  I used an Iwata Eclipse airbrush.

I hope you enjoy the photos.
